Thank you for visiting our web site and your interest in our endodontic practice.

Endodontics is a specialty branch of dentistry that deals with root canal procedures and surgeries related to the roots of teeth. As a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Stephen Hunter and his expert endodontic staff provide the highest standard of professional care.

We welcome all of your endodontic questions, many of which may be answered as you browse our web site. If you have other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly by phone at 651-452-1884, or you can e-mail us at info@hunterendodontics.com and we will respond as promptly as possible.

At the time of your appointment you will be asked for the following information:

  • The referral slip your dentist may have given to you
  • Any x-rays you were given that show the problem tooth or area
  • A list of medications you are presently taking
  • Your dental insurance information (and medical if applicable)

IMPORTANT: Unless prior arrangements have been made, a parent or guardian who can assume financial responsibility must accompany all patients under the age of 18.

Please notify our office prior to your appointment if:

1) You have a medical condition that may be of concern (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, latex allergy etc.)

2) You are on any medication that might require consultation with your treating physician (i.e. heart medications, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

X-rays

Our office uses the latest technology in computer generated digital imaging for all x-rays we take, which dramatically reduces the radiation exposure to our patients. Your dentist may have given you a recent x-ray to bring to our office, which is useful and appreciated. In addition and for our records, we take a pretreatment x-ray on all patients during our examination, for which there is no additional charge.

Patients are invited to return to our office 3-6 months after the root canal procedure for an x-ray evaluation of the treated tooth. Again there is no charge for this follow-up x-ray exam.

We look forward to being of service to you.
